I started my photography journey by sneaking my camera over the fence of the Vans Warped Tour when I was 13. With my VIP badge I snuck on stage to shoot a rather popular band at the time. I had no clue how to ask for a photo/press pass let alone what I was doing on stage. When I turned around to leave the side stage to my surprise Kevin Lyman, the head of production for the Vans Warped Tour was directly behind me. We struck up a conversation about how to go through the proper channels in the future however he praised my perseverance and let me continue on for the day. That moment led to a 10 year career as a live music photographer. I’ve always had a passion for music and concerts but there’s something so unique about seeing the photos you captured from the pit.
